Videogame review: Lovers in dangerous spacetime

4DDD591FD4ED1C1D327631DBDDF6F9CD3058D3AF (1920×1080)Lately we've had the opportunity to play a bunch of quality co-op titles. One of these is „Lovers in dangerous spacetime“. Like many others, Lovers was made solely for co-op, which is why it shines. There was a time of co-ops in which a better player could practically monopolize the game while others were just following. In Lovers each player is important and without each player it is impossible to pass the level. In Lovers, 2-4 friends will take on the role of sweet little astronauts who control a spacecraft. The ship is made in cross-section (the game is 2D) to see the main functions of the ship: weapons, steering wheel, shield etc. Each player can of course control only one of the functions at the time, and there are more functions. Here, of course, the genius of the game comes to the fore. Although some functions such as a steering wheel and a shield may be operated by one player not to move from place to place, in order to effectively use weapons (a total of 4 weapons, one on each side of the ship and one weapon), players will have to move from one ship function on the other. Thanks to this, communication is very pronounced between players as well as the feeling of helping the team and ultimately a sense of common success. What's great is that you do not have to be a permanent gamer to play the game, and gamers will not be bored as in a lot of other games that have childish theme (going around in space to save space rabbits) and it will not be repugnant to adults. So this is a family jewel. Just so that it would not be all that simple the game provides you with upgrades (metal, weapons and laser). Each station (shield, weapon ...) can receive two upgrades and they can be combined. Depending on the combination, you will get really interesting mesh-ups of new weapons, shields and engines. Just another thing to point out is that the levels are randomly generated and that every world (there are 4) has some of its gameplay specificities (such as special enemies or obstacles). In short, there is a lot of variety in the game so you can come back whenever you want, and the greatest variety is your teamwork that will be different every time. If you have a friend or two who are willing to play with you (it would be great to have 3 if you can), believe that you will not make a mistake.
