Sagrada is what you could call a „smaller“ game, it comes in an A4 sized box standard depth. The box itself is very beautifully made. In the game you craft stained glass windows in Sagrada Familia, so the box cover is made to look like stained glass where only the parts that represent glass are made with glossy finish. When opening the box what you see that there is no punch-outs or anything similar, the setup you see is much like what your box will look like once you are ready to put it on the shelf. In the box you will get: One set of rules, two cloth bags, 4 player boards, two set’s of cards, one score board, four player tokens, one polybag of tokens and one polybag of dice. Anachrony comes in quite a large box, much larger than I like my boxes to be, I generally like to have most of my games in standard boardgame boxes, although with a hype of kickstarters and new trends in boardgameing it looks like a “standard boardgame box” size is going to increase in the next few years. But no sidetracking… the size of this particular box is a little bigger than a3 paper and 10 cm thick. Let’s see what’s inside this big boy… Opening it up I found myself in a conundrum, I see no link between the size of the box and it’s components, this may be due to the fact that I have not purchased the version with miniatures but rather the one without them. A giant gelatinous alien is attacking our town! And I guess we have to defend it by collecting samples of the creature? 😊 Attack of the Jelly Monster is 3-5 player game where each of the players tries to collect as much jelly as he can by throwing dice. Main mechanics of the game are dice rolling and worker placement, but all of this is happening simultaneously with all players in real time!!! The game is played in four rounds. In each round all players simultaneously   repeat rolling all of their (remaining) dice and then either placing or not placing a die to a district. When placing a die you may immediately resolve its effect (discarding any die in district to center or move a slider one space). After any one player places his last die he may flip the hourglass and/or lock a district. When the hourglass runs out the round ends and the scoring happens. Attack of the Jelly Monster comes in a fairly small box, approximately the size of a codenames box along its longer side. The game itself is on the somewhat cheaper side so you don’t really expect a full size box. Let’s see what you get inside! When opening the box you see a humble amount of components, what you get are: a stack of punch-out boards, a package of cardboard cut-out’s, a polybag with a 5 set’s of player dice, a polybag with a set of “sliders”, a hourglass and two additional polybags. The dice are typical six sided player dice 7 of them in each of 5 different colors, since this game is based on rolling dice I would have expect them to be a bit more rounded, we will see how they roll. Punching out this pieces what you immediately notice is the thinness of the cardboard, At least the pieces that represent the map could have been made from thicker material. Wasteland express delivery service comes in what you would call a big box, not a standard boardgame big box but almost twice as thick. When picking it up you can immediately notice it's weight and that there is not a lot of air in this box… so… let's open it up 😊 When you first open it you see rules, and underneath them is a fat stack of cardboard and a lot of plastic inserts, and since the box is really not oversized the inserts aren’t empty even at this point. Just seeing these inserts makes your inner OCD jump up in joy. Opening the cardboard stack you see 14 good quality punch out boards. As I said not all the inserts are empty inside one of them are two stacks of cards and one polybag of playing dice, inside another is a small bunch of plastic minnies. Cards when opened are a bit thin for my taste, I personally prefer MTG card thickness, and this is more on the lines of Legendary.
